Robbie McDaid scooped yet another personal award for his performances last season when he was presented with the Cookstown Glentoran Supporters Club Player of the Year before last night's match with Institute.

Cookstown Chairman Michael Wilson said of the award: "Its great for the club to be able to present the award to a Tyrone lad. Even moreso that the last time a player from our county won an award from the Cookstown Glens, it was Robbie's dad, John, who won our Young Player of the Year Award back in the club's early days in the early 1980s."

Robbie said to www.glentoran.com: "I'm very proud and honoured to receive this award from the Cookstown supporters club and one which means a lot as a native County Tyrone man. I’d like to thank everyone from the Cookstown supporters club for their continued support of the team and the club throughout the years. I for one can fully understand the lengths and distances they travel each and every week to follow their beloved Glentoran and commend them on their fantastic and loyal support".
