Glentoran FC is delighted to announce the signing of Corey McMullan from Ballyclare Comrades.
Corey (21) is an attacking midfielder who this season scored 13 goals for Comrades in 32 starts. He was Championship Player of The Month in January and along with fellow Glentoran summer signing John McGuigan, is shortlisted for NIFL Championship Player of the Year.
Manager Gary Haveron said after completing the signing this afternoon: “Corey is a player with an abundance of energy, something that I felt we seriously lacked last season and a major area of focus as we rebuild. He's coming to us off the back of a fantastic season for Ballyclare where he has been nominated along with John McGuigan for the top player award.
At 21 years of age he shows fantastic potential. He was being courted by a number of other Premiership clubs but we have been working on this for some time and we are delighted he has committed his future to Glentoran.”
Corey has signed a two year contract with the club. Contrary to speculation and premature announcements elsewhere, Corey signed his contract this afternoon (Saturday) in a meeting with our Manager and Chairman.
We wish Corey all the very best as he commences his Danske Bank NIFL Premiership career and are sure he will be an asset as Gary reshapes his squad.
