Glentoran would like to extend our best wishes to Northern Ireland U16 as they commence their Victory Shield campaign at 2pm on Sunday against the Republic of Ireland in Wales.
This years Victory Shield has a different look to it as it is without England, Sunday's opponents the Republic of Ireland taking their place. The tournament also will take place at one venue across one week as opposed to the traditional home and away fixtures.
This year's tournament will take place in Wales at the Welsh FA's Football Development Centre in Newport, Dragan Park.
Northern Ireland take on their Irish neighbours today before playing Scotland on Tuesday and rounding off against Wales on Thursday.
We would like to offer a special mention for our FIVE squad members from Glentoran Academy.
Oliver Webber (GK), Josh Tipping (ST), Paul O'Neill (ST), Caolan Boyd Munce (CM) and Ethan Warnock (DF) will take their place in the squad ensuring that Glentoran are the most represented local club in the competition!
