Tim McCann has asked to have the following published for the Glentoran Family on his departure as First Team Coach earlier this week:
"i want to put on record how much I enjoyed my return to The Oval to work with Mick McDermott, Rodney McAree and Warren Feeney, and my thanks go to the Glentoran fans for their support as ever.
I have been fortunate enough to have enjoyed a long and successful career in football, and I can say hand on heart that my fondest memories have been and always will be about The Oval.
Warren came in over the summer and I was delighted to work with him as he settled into the new job and a new challenge.
When new managers come in, it is natural that there will be changes as they bring their own philosophy, style and even personnel to the job, that's understandable and it is part and parcel of the game.
Of course I was disappointed when Warren told me my time had come to an end, but I have accepted his decision and I wish him and the team well going forward.
I believe I can walk away with my head held high, and I hope to return to the game in the future."
Thanks and best wishes for the future Tim.
