Ticket Update for Queen's match

Thu, 23/01/2020 - 13:12

Ticket Update for the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup 6th round tie against Queens University at The Dub on Saturday 1st February

Further to our announcement on Tuesday, we regret to confirm that Glentoran’s ticket allocation for our forthcoming Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup 6th round tie against Queens University, has been reduced to just 100 tickets.

We are disappointed that QUB taken this decision to allocate Glentoran one third fewer tickets than previously agreed, having initially stated that our allocation would be 150, the same number as was given to Linfield in the previous round. The club Chairman and Secretary have held a number of conversations with officers of Queen’s, but to no further avail.

The draw for tickets between life season ticket and long-term season ticket holders will take place as originally planned, at 7.30 tonight (23rd January). To recap, the process will be as follows:

The first 100 names drawn will be given 3 days to pay and collect their tickets.

Once the draw is complete the first 100 names drawn will be published here, and will be able to collect their tickets at the Oval during the following times:

Saturday 9:30-1.00pm (Superstore)

Sunday 1pm-3pm (Superstore)

Monday 8am-3pm (Secretary’s office)

The remaining names in the draw, not in the initial 100, will be drawn at the same time to create a reserve list. They will be contacted in the order they are drawn, and given the opportunity to come, pay and collect a ticket that has not been claimed through the initial allocation process. Tickets are non-transferable and must be collected by the ST holder in person, upon production of the ST.

The draw will be screened live on the club Facebook page.

We regret having to bring you this disappointing news, but we know the 100 successful Glentoran supporters will give the team all the backing they need to secure our place in the quarter final.
