Obituary: John Crossen

Tue, 09/08/2022 - 20:49

Glentoran Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our former Chairman John Crossen.

John served on the Glentoran Board during the 1970s and 1980s and was Chairman for much of our incredible run of Irish Cup victories in the 1980s. He was Vice Chairman for our undefeated League Championship win under Ronnie McFall in 1980-81 season. John also served as President of the Irish League.

The club sends deep condolences to the family of this great club servant – his wife Eleanor, daughters Julia and Joanne and the rest of the family circle.

John’s funeral service will be held at Dundonald Presbyterian Church on Friday 12th August at 2:30pm, followed by a private committal.

A full tribute to John Crossen will appear here shortly.
