Glentoran will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games as they travel to the Ballymena Showgrounds tomorrow.

The managerless East Belfast side have collected eight points in their last four league games to leapfrog Ronnie McFall’s struggling Portadown for sixth spot.

The latest point came last week at the Oval where the spoils were shared with a Coleraine side rich in form. The Bannsiders were on the back of tremendous run, gathering six wins and two draws in their previous eight games.

Coleraine took an early lead after Rodney Brown headed in after four minutes from a Neil McCafferty corner. The Glens levelled from the penalty spot with a clinical finish from Curtis Allen to take his tally up eight this season.

Director of Football Roy Coyle will be preparing the Glens once again as the club looks for Eddie Patterson’s replacement.

Coyle’s task tomorrow is to avenge Glentoran’s defeat to the Sky Blues earlier in September at the Oval. Despite being a goal ahead, Glenn Ferguson’s men fought back to claim a 3-1 victory to chalk up their first Premiership win of the season.

The East Belfast outfit boast a strong record at the Showgrounds, they haven’t been beaten since New Year’s Day, 2007.

Conor McMenamin and David Scullion are expected to return for tomorrow’s game, despite being taken off last week through injury.
