Glentoran travel to Portadown on Saturday looking to reduce the gap between themselves and the Ports to just 4 points.

With just 3 games left before the split Glentoran are currently in fifth place in the Danske Bank Premiership table, 7 points behind this weekend's opponents, Portadown. The two sides have met twice already in the Premiership this season. Back in early September David Scullion put the Glens in front at the Oval before Portadown levelled from the penalty spot through Darren Murray. In late November at Shamrock Park McAllister gave the home side a half time lead before Scullion put the Glens back on level terms early in the second half. The game looked like ending in a draw before a late moment of madness from Calum Birney saw the Glentoran central defender red carded and the Ports awarded a penalty. Although Casement missed from the spot he did net another penalty at the end of the game. By this stage the home side had already gone in front through Gary Twigg.

Last season the clubs clashed at Shamrock Park on three occasions. Portadown won the first league meeting 2-1 whilst the Glens won the other Premiership fixture by the same scoreline. In between Glentoran also recorded a 3-1 victory in the Irish Cup (you can watch the goals from that game on BBC Sport NI HERE). Curtis Allen, making his Glentoran debut, scored two and Aaron Boyd got the other.

Steven Gordon and Jordan Stewart should be back in the squad following their one-match suspensions which caused them to sit out last Saturday's impressive 3-0 win over Dungannon Swifts in the Irish Cup. Stewart played 45 minutes for the Seconds in midweek and Jim O'Hanlon also got some game time in the 1-0 defeat to Ballymena Utd Reserves.
