Glentoran faced Warrenpoint Town at Stangmore Park, Dungannon back on 12th October. It was a tight, hard fought contest with the Glens eventually taking all 3 points courtesy of a Marcus Kane goal. That win was the second for Glentoran in an unbeaten run of 8 games (W6 D2) which finally came to an end last Monday night when we went down 2-nil against Portadown at the Oval.

Since the meeting of the two sides two months ago, Warrenpoint Town have picked up 5 points from 7 fixtures; 3 of those coming in their most recent outing, a 2-1 victory over Coleraine. A draw at Solitude (1-1) and another at 'home' to Ballinamallard Utd brought their other points. They also suffered 4 defeats; away to Crusaders, Linfield and Portadown and a home loss to Ballymena Utd.

Glentoran welcome back Jordan Stewart for Saturday's game following his 1-game suspension. Aaron Boyd may also return to the squad following his thigh injury but will probably be restricted to a place on the bench. A win would see the Glens remain in 4th spot although they could go 3rd depending on other results.
