3 Glentoran Legends honoured

Jonathan Russell has been voted Glentoran 'Player of the Year' for 2023-24 by the club’s supporters. Castlereagh GSC organised the vote at Saturday’s home game and Jonny came out on top with a very impressive 45% of the vote. He will be presented with his award by Castlereagh GSC officials before kick off in Wednesday evening’s European playoff semi-final with Coleraine.
Fuad Sule was runner-up in his first season with Glentoran, with David Fisher, Bobby Burns and Daire O’Connor also featuring.
An excellent – particularly second half – performance from a much changed, youthful Glentoran side comfortably ensured a home win at the Bet McClean Oval this evening in our final Sports Direct Premiership game of the season.
Both managers used this final game to give an opportunity to a number of the better players in their U21 and youth panels. In Declan Devine’s case this meant first team debuts for
Cliftonville – down to 10 players for the last 17 minutes – held out to knock Glentoran out of this season’s League Cup at Solitude tonight.
Both sides had the lead in a roller coaster first half. The Glens went behind after 6 minutes when after Ashleigh McKinnon blocked twice on the edge of the box the rebound fell to Caitlin McGuinness who hit home for the opening goal.
We are delighted to announce that the club has been awarded both NIFL Premiership and UEFA Licences for the 2024/25 season.
We are equally delighted to announce that Glentoran Women have secured licenses for the Women's Premiership and UEFA Women's Champions League following their third league title in four years..

Glentoran Women play the semi-final of this season’s League Cup with Friday’s visit to Solitude to take on holders Cliftonville. An exciting prospect of an early season meeting between the 2 squads that have dominated Northern Ireland football over the past few years.

Glentoran FC is pleased to announce that Declan Devine has accepted the position of Team Manager on a permanent basis.
Glentoran Chairman Colin Jess said of the appointment: “The Board of Directors are very pleased to confirm that Declan has accepted the position of Glentoran Manager.
In the month Declan has been Interim Manager he has identified the areas he believes can be fixed in the short term and he has also outlined a very compelling outline of what needs done this close season to put the first team back on a winning footing.
