Glentoran has announced a new, community based initiative for the club’s Sky Sports televised game against Portadown on Monday 2nd December.

Youth and Church organisations have been offered the opportunity to attend the match free of charge by simply applying for a Group ticket from the Club.

Any such organisations will be seated together in the Family enclosure of the main stand.

Glentoran Director Grahame Jenkins said: “Glentoran is fully aware of the unique position of the club within East Belfast and of the need to further strengthen relations with all youth organisations in the area. The young people in these organisations are the club’s long term supporters and will be with us as we move forward to a successful future within East Belfast".

This free entry initiative is just one component of the Glens’  programme of Events for the evening.

  • The youngest players from the Glentoran Academy will lead out both teams as mascots.
  • At half time the rest of the young players from the Glentoran Academy will be on the pitch showing off both their skills and recent trophies won.
  • The Milk Bar in the main stand will be open and serving cold and hot drinks and snacks.
  • Prizes to be won on the night include:
