Glentoran Football Club are proud to announce that the Glentoran Academy will be placing 2000 green, red & black flyers on the temporary seating on the Sydenham End Terrace for every fan to hold up as the team takes to the pitch on Saturday. This initiative was entirely devised by the coaches and players and the boys and girls of our academy will be arriving early Saturday to attach them to each individual seat.
It is expected the Irish Cup Final squad will include as many as 6 players from the Glentoran Academy: Kym Nelson, Calum Birney, Stevie Gordan, Willie Garrett, Danny McKee and recently crowned Player of the Year Jordan Stewart. With so many of our future stars on trials in England and representing Northern Ireland back home, we are very confident that number will continue to rise in the next few years.

What a fantastic idea this is from our academy players and we will look forward to seeing so many of them out in force at the Cup Final this weekend.
