Glentoran Women were awarded two 3-0 victories by the NIFL Women’s Premiership Management Committee on Monday evening, following consideration of the status of the three rescheduled games in November in which Derry City Women were unable to field a squad. Crusaders Strikers were also awarded a similar result in the other cancelled matach.
This means that with two matches left to play, the Glens - who were already top of the table - now lead Linfield Ladies by six points and lead Sion Swifts and Crusaders Strikers by eight. The Blues have a game in hand and Sion have two. So with two matches to play - Siuon Swifts (H) and Crusaders (A) - the Glens are firmly in the driving street.
