Glentoran FC – Flag Day
You will have noticed a big increase in the number of red, green and black flags both at the Oval and at away games in recent weeks. It has largely been the result of a campaign by men and women who are part of the 'Glentoran Sydenham End' to bring some colour back to the games and by doing so, encourage the players.
Some old flags have reappeared and some new ones have been purchased.....and there’s more on the way.
This Saturday we want everyone who has a Glentoran flag to bring it back to the Oval. We are also going to give out free flags (see photo below) to our young supporters. Anyone who has a ‘Child Season Ticket’ can come along and get a free flag. There’ll be some more to give out to children under 11 (as long as stocks last). So get down to the Oval early for our big game against Crusaders. Let’s wave the flags and get behind the team and keep the winning run going.
Free flags can be picked up in the Milk Bar before the game.
