Derry City 0-10 Glentoran Women

Wed, 12/10/2022 - 22:53

Glentoran Women scored their second ten goal haul in tonight’s Danske Bank Women’s Premiership game at the Brandywell.

Skipper Jess Foy opened the scoring on eighteen minutes while further goals from Jen McDade, Caragh Hamilton and Imogen Lancaster took the reigning champions into a four-goal half time lead.

Top scorer Kerry Beattie netted a minute after the break and the game was then lit up by a sixteen-minute hat trick by Northern Ireland star and The Mortgage Shop Player of the Match Nadene Caldwell who had come on as a second half sub. Emma McMaster and Megan Neill concluded the scoring.

Tonight’s victory means the Glens are now one point behind leaders Cliftonville, though the Reds have a game in hand.

The Glens are back in action on Saturday when they face Linfield Ladies at Inver Park, Larne in the semi-final of the Electric Ireland Challenge Cup
