The Ballymac Glentoran Supporters Club held its annual player of the year awards night on Saturday 23rd September in the Ballymac clubrooms..
Members and visitors were joined by guests Colin Jess (Glentoran Chairman) , Ian Clarke (Head of Media), Marcus Kane and Elliott Morris. MC for the evening was Alastair Craig of the Ballymac.
The night kicked off with a hot supper buffet followed by award presentations.
- The Ron Manley memorial player of the year trophy was presented by Glentoran chairman Colin Jess to last year's young player of the year Bobby Burns. Colin also addressed the members and guests.
- The Roy Millar memorial top goal scorer award was presented by Roy's wife Christine and daughter Nicola. Elliott Morris collected the award on behalf of Jay Donnelly.
- The Jackie McCausland memorial young player of the year was presented by Debbie from the McCausland family. Marcus Kane collected the award on behalf of Terry Devlin.
- The Jim Campbell memorial Merit award was deservedly awarded to Sam Robinson for his sterling work on the history of Glentoran and the Vienna Cup through book, TV and a on stage play. His award was presented by Jim's niece Sylvia McWilliams. Sam also presented a replica retro Glens shirt from that era to the club.
With awards and speeches done members and visitors enjoyed a late bar and disco.
