JImmy Carter said to www.glentoran.com : "This donation is only possible because of the support of our fans who faithfully buy the Gazette. While winning awards is great recognition for the Gazette, we are delighted to again support the club financially. The raison d’etre of the Glentoran Supporters Committee 1923 is to support Glentoran in any way possible and we will continue to do so".

Stephen Henderson: "Yet again the incredible generosity of the Glentoran Supporters Committee (1923) has been demonstrated through a donation that brings that club's contribution to Glentoran to £8,000 over the past twelve months. This is one of the oldest supporters clubs in the world and it's support of the club - financial and in many other ways - over that time is beyond measure. On behalf of everyone at Glentoran FC I am proud to pass on our sincere and ongoing thanks for all their continuing efforts on behalf of the parent club".
