While a full All-Island League has been ruled out by the Irish FA, the conversation continues about whether some form of cross-border competition could be introduced to bring greater finances and public interest into the game. Glentoran representatives have attended all relevant neetings and - while the club has not taken a view on the concept - we feel our loyal supporters should have the opportunity to hear for themselves and to fully debate the idea with it's strongest advocates.
To facilitate this information and debate, the advocacy group behind the project and Dutch consultancy Hypercube will present exclusively to Glentoran fans at The Oval to outline why they think the game needs a boost, what options are on the table, and to gather the opinions of the fans on different formats.
