Academy Thanks to Eddie Patterson

Mon, 15/07/2013 - 21:16

The Glentoran Academy would like to pass on their thanks to Eddie Patterson and his staff for a great gesture ahead of Thursday nights Europa League game. Nathan Best from our under 14 team recently suffered a cruciate ligament injury that requires an operation and will sideline the dynamic winger for several months. On hearing of Nathan's plight, Eddie invited him into the changing rooms ahead of the game against KR to meet the players and listen in on the team talk.

Nathan was made to feel very welcome by all the players who took time out to ask about his injury and wish him all the best. For Nathan, seeing first hand the professional approach and attitude of the staff and players towards preparing for the game added inspiration for his road to recovery and he hopes to one day be involved in a European night at the Oval as a player.

Many thanks to Eddie, his staff and players on behalf of Nathan and everyone at the Academy.

Glentoran Football Club would also like to wish Nathan all the best for his terrible injury and wish him a speedy recovery. We hope Nathan will be playing in a Glentoran shirt as soon as possible.
