Holders Glentoran Women sent out the strongest possible message of intent tonight at Ashfield with an incredible 6-0 win over Cliftonville Ladies in the County Antrim Cup.

This was a significant result in the face of the current leaders of the Danske Bank Women's premiership. The goals came from Alison McMaster, returning skipper Jessica Foy, Nadene Caldwell, Danielle  Maxwell and a double from leading scorer Kerry Beattie.

The New Saints 2-0 Glentoran

Fri, 16/07/2021 - 15:18

Glentoran's European campaign came to an end in Shropshire last night when two goals in a  minute in the middle of the first half gave our Welsh opponents what would turn out to be a relatively uncomplicated win over a Glens team that worked hard throughout but was unable to get the all important first goal.

Manager, Mick McDermott made just one change to the starting XI with Seanan Clucas coming in for Mal Smith.

Glentoran 1-1 The New Saints

Thu, 08/07/2021 - 22:57

Glentoran are still very much in this tie despite having to come from behind at the Oval this evening in our first game in the 2021-22 Europa Conference League.

Missing a few regulars, manager Mick McDermott was forced to make a few changes to the starting XI but it didn't show in the early stages as the Glens made a fast and aggressive start.
