Cliftonville Ladies 0 v 3 Glentoran Women

Wed, 26/08/2020 - 23:41

Glentoran Women finally started their 2020 season and began this one in the same style they finished last season with a convincing 0-3 away league win over Cliftonville at Solitude.

The Glens had new signings Jacqueline Burns and Hannah Doherty in the starting line up with another new signing Shona Davis joined on the bench by returnees Sarah Connolly and Caragh Hamilton. But it was two of last season's young stars, Joely Andrews and Kerry Beattie, who gave the Glens a two goal half time lead. This was topped up by a third from skipper Jessica Foy after the break.

Sun, 23/08/2020 - 19:13

All requests of the various options available to ticket holders for this cancelled match have now been logged by the club.

Apologies for any delay so far. As supporters will understand, this is solely because the club has been fully occupied with preparation for the Europa League ties with HB Torshavn and now Motherwell.

All requests will be honoured at the earliest opportunity. Thank you for your patience.

Glentoran 1-0 HB Torshavn

Fri, 21/08/2020 - 00:37

It's been 5 years since our last European fixture and almost a decade since we made it past the first hurdle but we rectified that tonight.

Scott Young was the manager when Glentoran defeated FK Renova back in 2011 and it was fitting that he was there tonight, albeit in a sumarising capacity for BBC Sport NI.
