Welcome Michael O'Connor

Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of striker Michael O’Connor, who recently left newly promoted Shelbourne in Dublin.

Michael (23) has been a full-time player since starting at Dundalk as an academy player. His career to date includes spells at Shamrock Rovers, Linfield and Ross County. He is the brother of our midfielder Ciaran O’Connor and will be eligible to play for Glentoran once the transfer window opens in January.”

Crusaders 0-1 Glentoran

Glentoran kept themselves right in the hunt for the Danske Bank Premiership with a hard fought but ultimately well deserved win at Seaview this afternoon. 

Our record against Crusaders on their patch has been pretty grim to say the least but today the players stood up and came away with a win, a win that delighted the large visiting support.

Six Glens get World Cup Call

Congratulations to the SIX Glentoran Women players who have been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for World Cup 2023 qualifiers against North Macedonia

Left to right the six players are: Chloe McCarron, Lauren Wade, Nadene Caldwell, Joely Andrews, Caragh Hamilton and Kerry Beattie.

Also in the squad are Jacqueline Burns who played most of the season with Glentoran before returning to Universaity in the USA, and our former midfielder Demi Vance, now with Rangers.
