With everyone away from the Oval for an undetermined period, we have decided to bring Glentoran supporters some of the most compelling content from the multi award winning Glentoran Gazette. We hope you will enjoy the stories and player interviews we bring and that it will encourage you to buy a Gazette at our home matches when football returns. Many thanks to the Glentoran Supporters Committee (1923) for use of this material. The "250 Club" series will consist of interviews with current squad members with Eddy Patrick this season.

Marcus Kane has spoken to GlensTV to update and thanks all of those many people who have hiked and contributed to the #hikeforharrie appeal for the Royal Victoria Maternity Unit in honour of baby Harrie Kane.
The appeal set a target of raising £10,000 for the unit. This was reached on Friday and the amount now stands at £12,441 with 573 donations to Aimee Kane's page on Just Giving.
In this new series we will be publishing interviews with former Glentoran players and managers where they talk about a photograph that means a lot to them. Some will be reproduced from a series written by Brian McClelland for the Glentoran Gazette in the mid-1990s with other, newer stories we will be writing over the next few weeks.
There have been many supporters clubs and individuals who have stepped up to support Marcus, Aimee and Mollie Kane in their efforts to raise £10,000 for the bereavement care unit at the Royal Victoria Maternity Unit.
We’re currently running a number of articles here reflecting on great Glentoran players of the recent and not so recent past. But what of the managers? We’ve had our fair share of very diverse characters in charge of football affairs over the past forty years or so but while we get nostalgic about our favourite players, its very easy to forget the men who brought them to the Oval or who led them to their greatest successes or heartbreak.

Statement from the Board of Directors of Glentoran Football Club:
“It has been brought to our attention that Glentoran supporters were subject to an outrageous and completely baseless allegation made in today’s Belfast Telegraph.
