When we last faced Warrenpoint Town a number of weeks ago at the Oval we dominated the first half and should have led by more than a solitary goal at the interval. In the second half 'Point punished our wayward finishing and grabbed an equaliser. They were ultimately denied however by a very late goal from Patrick McClean.
Saturday's Danske Bank fixture at Milltown once again saw Glentoran dominate the opening 45 minutes. On this occasion however we scored four goals without reply and there would be no reply from the South Down outfit.
Patrick McClean, runner up for his first two months at the club, has gone one better to win the supporter vote as Glentoran Player of The Month for October.
In an overwhelming win, Paddy won 60% vote, in a month where he was the absolute epitome of consistency as we won four of the five games Paddy started. The month was capped by his incredible late winner at Larne and the signing of a contract extension for a further two years.

On Saturday we stay in County Down when we play Warrenpoint Town for the second time in just over a month, this time at Milltown. Following our excellent win and performance over Ballymena United last week we travel in search of our fifth consecutive win.
Institute FC has introduced a digital E-Ticket system.

I was born in St Leonard’s Street on the Newtownards Road on 23rd October 1919. One hundred years ago it may be, but my memory remains undimmed. When I was very young my family moved to the Portadown area. My father had been all through the First World War and had suffered from gas poisoning. On doctor’s advice we moved out of the city to County Armagh for the fresh country air. Sadly, my father died when I was just five years old.
Our Toal's County Antrim Shield Semi-Final against Cliftonville which was scheduled for Wednesday 20th November has been postponed. A re-scheduled date will be confirmed in due course and announced on glentoran.com and all social media platforms.
On Saturday evening, the Hillfoot GSC clubrooms on the Castlereagh Road, welcomed its officers, members, Glentoran players and officials to the club’s annual Player pf the Year Awards Night for the 2018/2019 season.
