It's Official : Van the Glenman

Sat, 04/04/2020 - 17:57

It's always been speculated that East Belfast's most famous son, Sir Van Morrison, was a childhood Glenman when growing up on Hyndford Street and attending Orangefield Secondary School (in the same school year as our own Roy Coyle). Well in a wide-ranging interview with journalist Martin Chilton in The Independent earlier this week, Sir Van told the world of his family links with the club, his attendance at our matches with his Dad,  and the part Glentoran inadvertently played in his education.

Match Preview: Crusaders v Glentoran

Fri, 13/03/2020 - 11:54

Saturday 14 March 2020  Kick-off 3.00pm

On Saturday we go to Seaview to play Crusaders for the second time in a fortnight, following our excellent 2-1 win in the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup at the Oval.

The Crues are currently one point ahead of us in third place, following their home win over Institute last week and our disappointing defeat at home o Cliftonville. However, they had lost their previous two Danske Bank Premiership meetings in an untypical four game losing run that included our own cup win.
