Glentoran 3-1 Portadown

Fri, 18/09/2020 - 01:39

Glentoran continued a series of pre season friendlies with a comfortable  3-1 win over Portadown at the Oval on Tuesday night. A first half penalty from the outstanding Paul O'Neill, and goals after the break from Andrew Mitchell (his second in consecutive matches) and Mal Smith (playing in midfield) helped the Glens renew an old rivalry in a successful manner. In a game where no quarter was asked or given, star men Robbie McDaid and Paddy McClean both left with injuries in the first .

Next home game is at the Oval on Saturday at 2pm when H&W Welders make the short journey from Tillysburn.

As with the Portadown match, supporters will be admitted, based on Covid-19 regulations. Full details will be published on Friday. Admission £5.
