There was late, late drama at the Bet McLean Oval as the Glens recorded another victory in the Danske Bank Premiership this evening.
Having led 1-nil at the interval, Michael O'Connor netting his first for the club, the Glens were pegged back by 72nd minute goal from the Bannsiders only for Conor McMenamin to win it in the final minute.
In tonight’s Glentoran Gazette Seanan Clucas reveals to Matthew Brown that he wanted to leave the club last summer but his request was blocked by Mick McDermott. Mick meanwhile praises Glens fans for their support since the turn of the year while Johnny McNabb says Oran Kearney brings his Coleraine side to the Oval in a confident mood. We ask how can those big holiday crowds be sustained or even improved upon and profile our new signings as well as looking at the way the Glens are leading the way in professionalising the women’s game.
Following a trial pre-Christmas, Glentoran FC is very pleased to have joined with Belfast company ULNK to introduce technology to the Bet McLean Oval to improve the match day experience for fans. The new #Glenshub will be available at our home match with Coleraine this evening. It will allow Glentoran fans to connect with their favourite team like never before.

7.45pm Kick Off
Tomorrow evening we return to the Bet McLean Oval for our third Danske Bank Premiership meeting of the season with Coleraine, and our fourth overall.
The club recently announced that with effect from Tuesday evening's visit by Coleraine, all home games at the Bet McLean Oval will be all ticket for both home and away supporters. This new policy is in line with the club’s desire to streamline the entry process and to maximise capacity in high profile games such as those v Linfield.
The new process for purchasing tickets is as follows:
We wish to inform our supporters that as part of the long-term commercial strategy for Glentoran Football Club, the Premier Lounge Bar in the Bet McLean Oval will be under new management for the remaining games of the 2021/22 season.
Glentoran recovered from conceding an early goal in North Belfast to win for the second time in four days this evening and in so doing won back-to-back games at Seaview for the first time since April 2008!
The club is delighted to formally announce that two of our top young players and Academy graduates – Ben Cushnie and Aaron Wightman – have formally signed contract extensions with the club.
We are equally delighted that one of our most exciting young Academy prospects – left wing back Jonathan Russell – has signed his first professional contract with the club.
Friday 21st January 2022
Kick Off 7.45pm
Tomorrow night we follow up our excellent win at Cliftonville with a second trip of the week to North Belfast with the season’s third Danske Bank Premiership meeting with Crusaders and our second at Seaview. The Crues are currently in fourth place in the table, seven points behind ourselves, so Stephen Baxter and his men will be determined to stop the gap from widening further.
