2011 NIWFA Premier League and Premier League Cup Winners Glentoran Belfast United have officially launched its first ever Junior Academy for Girls.
Glentoran Football Club strengthened its unique bond with the Insaka Academy in Dublin by providing their Under 17 squad with last season’s Reserve Team Kit.
The Glentoran ‘Spirit of 41’ Committee in association with the Glentoran ‘Our Club, Our Community’ Programme hosted a hugely successful Glentoran Family Fun Day at the Oval on Sunday 28th August 2011.
The fun-filled event – funded by the International Fund for Ireland’s Community Bridges Programme – was attended by over 700 young people, parents and carers from the local community.
Glentoran Football Club hosted its inaugural ‘Our Club, Our Community’ Cup on Saturday 13th August at Billy Neill Playing Fields, Dundonald.
The hugely successful tournament – sponsored by the Unite Against Hate Campaign - aims to bring together teams from various religious and ethnic backgrounds aimed at promoting social inclusion and cultural integration through football.
