Coleraine 1-3 Glentoran
With the first round of Danske Bank Premiership matches now complete, Glentoran currently sit in 6th place in the table with 16 points from our 11 games.
Next up for the Glens is a trip to the Coleraine Showgrounds for the reverse of the opening day fixture. Back in August a Jim O'Hanlon penalty gave the Glens a 1-nil lead at half-time before Coleraine hit back with a Shane Jennings equaliser.
From the beginning of the season on the club website we have been recognising the work of supporters clubs and groups helping Glentoran FC.
On this occasion we would like to thank both the Ballymac GSC and North Down GSC.

With reference to the article by Graham Luney in the Belfast Telegraph on 15th October.
We accept that Graham’s article was generally measured and was not intended to be malicious. However, it has clearly misjudged the mood and attitude of the vast majority of Glentoran supporters.
Last weekend we learned of the passing of former Glentoran player, Jim Lewis. Described in Roy France's book as a utility player, Jim featured mainly as a full back or half back. He made his debut in the 1948-49 season and went on to make 158 appearances for the Glens, including playing in the 'Back to the Oval' game against Linfield and the three epic Irish Cup final games against Derry City in 1954; Jim being named 'Man of the Match' in the second match. By the time Jim Lewis finished at the Oval at the end of the 1955-56 season he'd scored 14 goals.
The Danske Bank Premiership game against Portadown, originally scheduled for Saturday 30th November, has been rearranged for Monday 2nd December at the Oval with a 7.45pm kick off. This game will be shown live on Sky Sports.
Glentoran travelled to Stangmore Park Dungannon to face Warrenpoint Town in the Danske Bank Premiership and a solitary goal from Marcus Kane early in the second half saw the Glens return to Belfast with 3 points.
This weekend it's matchday eleven in the Danske Bank Premiership and Glentoran travel to Stangmore Park, Dungannon to face Warrenpoint Town. After 10 games in this season's league campaign, new boys Warrenpoint Town are sitting in eleventh position in the table with 8 points on the board. Life in the top division began with a 3-2 defeat to Dungannon Swifts but in their second match, against the other promoted side, Ards, Warrenpoint Town secured their first victory with a 2-1 away win.
During the close season Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson and his assistant, Tiernan Lynch made it known that they would like to have games videoed to assist in post match analysis. The Internet GSC found out about this request and purchased a camera and all the ancillary kit which was presented to Eddie prior to the Linfield game on Tuesday night. The equipment will be operated by Aaron Agnew to whom the club is very grateful.
Pictured making the presentation to Eddie are Internet GSC Chairman, David Griffiths and Jodie Killops.
