It's a weekend of celebration. Today marks Glentoran Football Club's 134th birthday. Tomorrow the players and coaches from the Glentoran Academy will be at the Oval to celebrate the success they have achieved over the past year so please make a point of coming down to the Oval, not only to support the first team in their game against Ballinamallard United, but also to show your appreciation for the Academy staff and the players of our future.

SUPPORT GLENTORAN AND WIN A CAR

This week, and until Christmas, Glentoran offers a unique opportunity to win a brand new car for as little as £2!

By participating in the club draw, one lucky individual will win a new Hyundai i10, supplied by Charles Hurst Hyundai, Dundonald.

The draw will be made on the Oval pitch on New Year’s Eve at half time of our home match v Dungannon Swifts. What a start to 2017 for the lucky winner!

Glentoran 1 - 2 Linfield

Sat, 01/10/2016 - 17:20

Debutant Glentoran manager Gary Haveron and his side can count themselves unlucky not to have taken at least a point against old rivals Linfield at the Oval this afternoon.  For the second Saturday in a row it was a game of two halves for the Glens as they came storming back from a goal down at half time to take the game to Linfield.  Haveron made three changes to last week’s line up at Ballymena, bringing in Calum Birney, Marcus Kane and Ciaran Caldwell in place of Tiarnan McAuley, Ross Redman and Jonny Smith and pushing Steven Gordon up to support Curtis Allen in attack.

Tomorrow's Gazette

Fri, 30/09/2016 - 14:44

The first Big Two encounter of the season, a new era at the Oval and we have a Gazette for you to match the occasion.  As well as all the usual features there’s the second part of Brian McClelland’s tale of Glentoran’s Russian striker Louis Bookman, another of football friendship across the divide, news of the Legends’ latest venture to Scotland and, of course, the thoughts of our new first team manager Gary Haveron as he embarks on his Glentoran career.

There’s always a big demand for the Gazette on a Big Two afternoon so make sure you don’t miss out!
