A colourful day out with Glens Inclusion

Mon, 25/09/2023 - 13:56

Sunday saw Glentoran Inclusion’s first ever colour run held at King George V pitches.

From tombola to football darts, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Not only did everyone get covered in head to toe in colour, but there was some pool dunking and water throwing mixed in too, with coaches and parents getting soaked. A great atmosphere for children and adults all round.

The organisers would like to thank first team players Marcus Kane, Aaron Wightman and David Fisher for attending and throwing the colour and getting involved with the runners.

Glentoran 1-2 Coleraine

Sat, 23/09/2023 - 01:44

Four shambolic minutes late in the second half cost Glentoran three points and their place at the top of the Sports Direct Premiership at the Bet McLean Oval this evening. But to be fair there can be few complaints after a generally lifeless and insipid ninety minutes from the Glens.

Match Preview: Glentoran v Coleraine

We face Coleraine tomorrow night for the first time this season.

While excitement is building off the pitch at the imminent prospect of new investment, results on the pitch so far have been decidedly mixed for Coleraine.  Maximum points were secured from their opening 2 fixtures, but last Saturday’s 3-1 home win over Newry was a first in 5 league games and they have also exited the Scottish Challenge Cup after losing to Hamilton Academical at the Showgrounds in that time.

Important Supporter Notice: Matchday Parking

Tue, 19/09/2023 - 22:30

The club has been contacted by residents of Parkgate Drive and of Mersey Street School regarding supporter parking on match days.

A number of residents have had parking cones removed from the front of their homes, which has caused significant inconvenience. These are both narrow streets where priority parking is reserved for residents, for the use of St Christopher’s Church and for the Larder Food Bank. Supporter parking has also caused difficulty at times of medical emergency.
