Consistent hard work and two excellent opening goals have earned Paul O'Neill a clear win in the Supporters Glentoran Player of the Month vote for March.

With Darren Murray initially suspended, Paul came into the starting line up at Ballymena between Curtis Allen and Robbie McDaid and opened the scoring with a great finish and followed up last week with a very different opener, a very convincing header that gave the Cliftonville keeper no chance.

Cliftonville 2-1 Glentoran

Sun, 31/03/2019 - 12:50

History repeats itself far too often for this Glentoran team. In this case we conceded the third consecutive 90th minute winner to Cliftonville this season, having yet again failed to hold out for a deserved point  We dominated the first half to have a deserved half time lead and rode out substantial Reds pressure for well over an hour but yet again indecision at the back allowed our opponents to steal a late winner and yet again send us home empty handed.
