Match Preview: Crusaders v Glentoran

Thu, 26/09/2019 - 23:25

Saturday 28th September 2019, Kick Off 3.00 pm

On Saturday we face one of the big acid tests of our season, with our first visit to Seaview, the venue where we have our worst win performance over the past few years.

Crusaders currently lead the table, three points ahead of Coleraine and Cliftonville and four ahead of us, but they lost their first game of the season last week at Coleraine Showgrounds.

Cliftonville Ladies 1-7 Glentoran Women

Wed, 25/09/2019 - 23:51

Treble Cup Winners Glentoran finished the season as they've played most of it with a convincing 7-1 away win over Cliftonville Ladies at Solitude.

Cliftonville took an early lead but a hat trick from Samantha Kelly (above), two from Rachel Rogan and further goals from Yasmin White and Emma McMaster all contributed to the Glens victory.

The Glens finished third with 36 points from 18 games. An end of season review will be published shortly.

Early strike brings knock out clean sweep for Glens Women

Sun, 22/09/2019 - 01:01

Glentoran Women defended their Electric Ireland Women's Challenge Cup crown with a 1-0 win over Linfield Ladies on Saturday night.

In what was a repeat of last year's final, Emma McMaster's early goal proved the defining moment in the showpiece decider.

A long-range strike from Demi Vance wasn't gathered by Linfield goalkeeper Lauren Perry, and McMaster reacted quickest to poke the ball home.

The win saw the Glens add the Irish Cup to their Co Antrim Shield and League Cup successes this season, completing an impressive trophy treble.
