Player News: Casey goes on loan

Wed, 17/01/2024 - 13:35

The club has agreed to Dundela’s request to take Casey Smyth on loan until the end of this season.

Casey  is a Northern Ireland U18 under national. He is under professional contract until the end of 2024/25 season and the manager has agreed that it would be beneficial for the player to get regular game time in the PlayrFit Championship before returning to fight for his place at Glentoran next season.

Glentoran 6–0 Coleraine

Sat, 13/01/2024 - 20:57

An excellent performance from Glentoran at the Bet Mclean Oval this afternoon comfortably ensured all three points for the home side. A birthday treat for our majority shareholder Ali Pour who was in the stand with his family.

With Aaron McCarey suspended, Ollie Webber started in goal, Aidan Wilson returned after suspension for the injured Aaron Wightman, and we had the very welcome sight of a returning Rhys Marshall on the subs bench.
