Portadown v Glentoran tickets

The club was informed at 10am this morning by Portadown that they have made next week's match at Shamrock Park all ticket.
 
Tickets will be on sale from the Glentoran Superstore on Saturday 13th August at the following times:
 
 10am - 4:30pm:   SEASON TICKET HOLDERS AND SHARE HOLDERS only

Under 20s: Glentoran v Cliftonville

Glentoran Under 20s followed up their win on Saturday with 3 points over Cliftonville on Wednesday night.

The Glens got off to a great start with a goal in the opening minutes, striker Padraig Hughes tapping in from close range following good work down the right hand side.

Glentoran started the game the same way they did against Dungannon and had numerous chances early on and got a second mid way through the first half.  Paddy Cafolla with a defence splitting pass found Karl Hamill, who struck a shot across the keeper and into the back of the net.

Cliftonville 2-0 Glentoran

A limp Glentoran were unable to build on their opening day win as they went down 2-0 at Solitude against Cliftonville. A healthy crowd filled the north Belfast arena including a sell-out away end however it was the red sections that experienced all of the joy.

The PSNI have issued the following advice and information for supporters attending the Cliftonville v Glentoran game on Wednesday evening.

Glentoran Fans travelling by private car to Cliftonville Football Club for the Danske Bank Premier League on Wednesday 10th August 2016 (kick-off 7:45pm) are requested to park in the residential areas above Solitude off the Cliftonville Road - ie Cardigan Drive and Knutsford Drive etc. Motorists should consider local resident and emergency vehicle access when deciding where and how to park.

Glentoran Under 20s

Glentoran Under 20s kicked off their Premiership Development League campaign with 3 points over Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Park. The Glens started out of the blocks the quicker going 1-0 up early in the first half.  Jake Kerr put through forward Padraig Hughes who lobbed the oncoming goalkeeper to grab a goal on his debut for the club. The second followed shortly after, it was Hughes again on the score sheet tapping in from close range following good work by Tiarnan McAuley.
