Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce that Glentoran Women have been selected to deliver the UEFA Disney Playmakers Programme – a new initiative designed to introduce girls aged 5-8 to football through the magic of storytelling and play.
Delivered in partnership with the Irish FA, the UEFA Disney Playmakers Programme uses the power of well-known Disney stories and characters to engage young girls in physical activity in a safe, fun and imaginative environment. The aim is to build confidence, encourage creativity and provide a positive first experience of football.
Four Glentoran Women’s first-team players – along with a group of volunteers – have completed their initial UEFA training and will lead the delivery of the programme.
