Ulster Footballer Of The Year 2019

Wed, 09/01/2019 - 21:06

The Ulster Footballer of the Year awards committee has announced a 2019 collaboration with a new sponsor - Purple Bricks.

The UFOTY is Northern Ireland's longest standing player award, having been organised by the Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters Club since its inception in 1951.

Purple Bricks was co-founded and owned by Larne native, Kenny Bruce. Kenny’s strong interest and significant investment into Larne FC has seen them propelled to the top of the Bluefin Championship this season.

This year’s UFOTY awards will take place on Monday 29th April 2019, and will once again focus on recognising the most exceptional talent across not just our top tier of football, but equally the women’s game in Northern Ireland, disability football and the Bluefin championship.

It promises to be another evening to remember, following on from the great success of last year’s event in the Titanic Hotel, Belfast.

UFOTY will continue to work with Cool FM as their media partner, and this year’s awards will be featured on Cool FM’s weekly premiership Facebook show over the coming months. In addition, the organisers have confirmed that Irish league fans and listeners of Cool FM will once again be allowed to vote for their Ulster Footballer of the Year by visiting the Cool FM website in the month of April.
