The club would like to thank the many representatives of Glentoran Supporters Clubs provincewide who met with the Chairman and Directors in the McLean Suite before Saturday’s game against Glenavon.
Key points discussed with the Supporters Clubs’ representatives were the continuing progress towards achievement plans for a new stadium in East Belfast, a full revision of the club’s communication strategy with both supporters and the media, and our most important consideration, plans for continued success for the team. The Chairman also restated the club’s gratitude to our main sponsor, A McLean Bookmakers for consistent and generous support in recent years.
This was the first of a series of regular meetings with supporters as promised by the Chairman at the 2013 AGM. It will be followed by a meeting with unaffiliated supporters in the near future. The club fully understands that Glentoran will only move forward positively and successfully if the club and supporters work together at all times and will ensure that supporters are kept informed of progress towards our shared goals at the earliest possible opportunity.
