Glentoran Seconds defeated Ards 3-0 at Seaview this morning to lift the Steel & Sons Cup for the 14th time. The Seconds went in front just before halftime when Steven McCullough's cross-shot was headed home by Richard Gibson. Ards made 3 changes during the second period as they went in search of an equaliser but with 6 minutes remaining a long clearance out of defence was picked up by Carl McComb. McComb cut inside and played a one-two with Daniel Burns before finding Stephen Gordon who drilled the ball home from the edge of the area. On 88 minutes a left wing corner from Samuel McIlveen was headed home by Gibson at the back post to put the icing on the cake.
