We fully understand that some of our supporters may have concerns arising from the recent BBC report on DCAL funding of football stadia in Northern Ireland.
It would not be helpful for our club to respond directly to this report at this time nor to become publicly involved in what is essentially a matter for our politicians and for the IFA. However, we can reassure the broad Glentoran family that the Board continues to actively pursue its objective of securing a new stadium for Glentoran in East Belfast, thereby ensuring the club’s long-term future and success.
We appreciate that this is not the definitive response that some of our support may wish for. However, we urge patience from everyone as we progress towards the achievement of our shared objectives.
