Glentoran Football Club is delighted to announce our second signing of the close season and to welcome Wassim Aouachria to the Bet McLean Oval.
Wassim (24) is a French/Algerian centre forward who joins us from Galway United in the League of Ireland Premiership. He played a major part in Galway’s successful promotion push in the 2023 season and has also played for Charlton Athletic and Waterford. He was a product of the Marseilles Academy and has been capped for Algeria at Under 18 level.
Declan Devine said to www.glentoran.com: “Wassim is a player I’ve known since he came to the League of Ireland a couple of years ago and a player I’ve found very difficult to set a defence up against. He will offer us different attributes to those already at the club. Wassim is still at an age where we feel he has the qualities to have a wonderful future ahead of him and we’re delighted he’s committed to Glentoran.”
