This draw leaves Glentoran fifth in the Sports Direct Premiership, 14 points off the top of and 10 points behind today’s third placed opponents and today’s game was a perfect example of the reason for that. With this draw we have now dropped no fewer than 15 points from 6 games we had led in the second half. This inability to see out games is fast becoming the story of our season and the source of great frustration to the Glens support.

On Saturday we start the second half of the Sports Direct Premiership season when we make our first visit of the season to Solitude. The Reds sit in third place, ten points ahead of Glentoran, Glens supporters will be looking to see us start to close the gap by following up on last week’s rout of Linfield with a repeat of our win over Cliftonville in September.

The members of Ballynahinch Glentoran Supporters Club were proud to make a presentation of £1000 to Air Ambulance at Friday night’s win over Linfield at the Bet McLean Oval.
The Ballynahinch club raised the money for the donation at its recent charity match between Ballynahinch United Over 40s and Glentoran Legends

On 23rd November the Glentoran Supporters’ Committee (1923), publishers of the multi-award winning Glentoran Gazette and organisers of the Halfers Draw, held our Centenary Dinner in the Long Gallery at Stormont Buildings, joined by many friends from the Oval and beyond.
Glentoran’s emphatic victory over our old rivals at The Oval this evening secured an excellent end to a strong week for the club. An utterly dominant performance for 90 minutes ensured a matchday experience and result that will live long in the memory for Glentoran supporters.
In Friday night’s Glentoran Gazette Warren Feeney says he feels mentality plays a big role in derby game and adds that his squad displayed the right attitude in the win over Carrick Rangers in midweek as well as looking physically strong, while we record the fact that Linfield have been highly consistent this season.
