Glentoran Football Club can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Sligo Rovers for the transfer of defender Patrick McClean, subject to international clearance.
The transfer, for an undisclosed fee, will be completed when the League of Ireland transfer window opens on 1st July.
Patrick joined Glentoran from Derry City in the summer of 2019 and went on to make 199 appearances for the Club, scoring 15 goals and playing his part in the Glens’ 2020 Irish Cup success.
Speaking about his departure, Patrick McClean said: “It’s been a real privilege to play for Glentoran. I’ve enjoyed many great moments and would like to wish everyone at The BetMcLean Oval the very best moving forward.”
Glentoran acknowledges Patrick’s contribution during his time at The BetMcLean Oval and wish him well as he takes on a new challenge in the League of Ireland.
