Glentoran Football Club can confirm that Cameron Palmer will join Scottish Championship side Livingston upon the expiry of his contract on 31st May 2026.

The midfielder departs The BetMcLean Oval having made 105 appearances and scored four goals for the Glens since arriving in East Belfast in the summer of 2023.

The 26-year-old enjoyed an exceptional 2025/26 campaign, making 46 starts across all competitions and scoring three goals.

His consistently outstanding performances were recognised by supporters earlier this season when he was voted Glentoran Player of the Year.

Palmer’s influence throughout the campaign was further reflected in the club’s monthly awards, with the midfielder named Glentoran Player of the Month on three separate occasions.

He was also recognised at league level with selection in the Northern Ireland Football Writers’ Association Premiership Team of the Year following the most impressive season of his Glentoran career.

Discussing his departure, Cameron Palmer said: “The opportunity to move to Scotland, challenge myself in a new environment and be closer to my family made this the right decision for me at this stage of my career.”

“That said, leaving Glentoran is not easy because I’ve genuinely loved my time at this football club. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the supporters, my teammates and everyone around the club and I’ll always be grateful for that.

“This season has been hugely rewarding for me personally and to be voted Player of the Year by the supporters is something I’ll always be incredibly proud of.

“The squad that Declan has built here is one of the best groups I’ve worked with in football and I’ve no doubt the players and staff will continue pushing the club forward.

“I wish everyone connected with Glentoran every success for the new season and the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.”

Declan Devine, Glentoran First Team Manager, said: “Cameron has been an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment I arrived at the football club.

“He’s a top professional, an outstanding human being and someone who sets standards every single day through the way he trains, prepares and carries himself around the group.

“His performances this season have been exceptional and naturally we’re disappointed to lose a player of Cameron’s quality, but we fully understand and respect his desire to move closer to his family and test himself in Scottish football.

“On behalf of everyone at Glentoran, I want to thank Cameron for everything he has given to this football club and wish him and his family every success for the future.”

Everyone at Glentoran Football Club would like to thank Cameron for his outstanding contribution during his time at The BetMcLean Oval and wish him every success for the future.
