The Oval Sessions: Ricky Warwick (part two)

Thu, 18/03/2021 - 01:02

This is the sixth in our series intended to highlight local – predominantly East Belfast – artists to help bring their music to a new audience through www.glentoran,com. If you can think of anyone deserving of this support and coverage please email media@glentoran.com and we will do our best to cover them.

5. Ricky Warwick (part two)

Following our recent story about his latest album “When Life Was Hard and Fast”, we are delighted that US-based Glenman Ricky Warwick has very kindly recorded two unique videos at his Los Angeles home to be shared exclusively through our Oval Sessions series.

For the second of Ricky's unique contributions, Ricky send us a newly recorded version of "Tank McCullough Saturdays", his paean - again co-written by his fellow Glenman Sam Robinson - to East Belfast and to a childhood in the 60s and 70s supporting a Glentoran captained by the legendary Billy "Tank" McCullough, like Ricky a Newtownards man.

We would like to thank Ricky for taking the time out of his busy promotional schedule to make this personal contribution to his fellow members of the Glentoran Family.
