We would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of former Glentoran defender Mick Millington who passed away recently, aged 80.
Mick is best remembered as a league winner with Dundalk in the 1960s and as one of Dundalk’s greatest ever players. He spent the 1970-71 season with Glentoran, having joined along with his Dundalk teammate Kevin Murray, before returning south to end his career with St Patrick’s Athletic.
Mick played 18 times in his one season with Glentoran, in a season when the Glens were runners up in the league and won the County Antrim Shield.
