Sun, 11/02/2024 - 19:35

Glentoran FC is delighted to announce that our striker David Fisher has extended his contract for another year in the face of extensive interest from a number of clubs inside and outside Northern Ireland. This will keep David at the Bet McLean Oval until the end of the 2024/25 season.

David (22) joined us from AFC Wimbledon in the last summer transfer window, and since he settled into the team has scored 11 goals, including 7 in our last 6 games to become a very important player for us and a very popular figure among our supporters.

As he prepares to face a Carrick side that have given the Glens trouble on a couple of occasions this season, Warren Feeney explains why the January window was a quiet one and updates fans on the squad’s injury list while graphic artist Beth Stafford marks Charlie Lindsay’s return to the Oval by placing him on the cover of another 40-page edition. The Gazette team also takes a look at the job Stuart King has done on a budget considerably smaller than some sides in the Premiership. Matthew Brown decries the rumour mongers and urges Glens fans to heed the words of Ali Pour.
