Glentoran supporters will be interested to know that Los Angeles based Glenman Ricky Warwick has released a new solo album.
“When Life Was Hard and Fast” is Ricky’s seventh solo album and has been recorded despite the fact the Newtownards-born singer has – like the rest of the music business – been unable to play in front of a live audience for well over a year. Covid-19 lockdown meant that the was unable to play his sixth annual Christmas fundraising concert for the Glentoran Community Trust at the Elk Inn in Dundonald. But hopefully that may soon be restored. We also hope to feature Ricky on a future edition of our Oval Sessions here on www.glentoran.com.
This is the video for the title track, co-written with fellow Glenman Sam Robinson. The video features footage from the old Ulster TT races held around Ricky’s old stamping ground of Dundonald, Comber and Newtownards.
