Glentoran Football Club has announced that Mick McDermott has stepped down from his position as a Director of the club by mutual agreement.
This decision comes following Mick’s appointment as Head Coach of League of Ireland Division One side, Cobh Ramblers Football Club.
During his time at Glentoran, Mick made a significant contribution as both a board member and manager. He played a key role in the Club’s 2019 takeover, rebuilding the club and squad, while transitioning to full-time football. His leadership was instrumental in securing Irish Cup success and achieving European qualification on two occasions.
Glentoran extends its gratitude to Mick for his dedication and efforts and wishes him every success in his new role with Cobh Ramblers.
