Match Preview: Lisburn Ladies v Glentoran Women

Thu 6 Jun 2024, 22:28

Friday 7th June
Kick Off 8.00pm
Tomorrow evening the Glens have the opportunity to continue their early season good form when they travel to the Bluebell Stadium in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership.
Lisburn Ladies – who finished 6th in last year’s final table – have had a mixed start to the season, opening with a 2-1 away win over Larne but that was followed by a 7-0 defeat to Linfield in their last outing. Their current squad contains firmer Glens players Aimee Lee Peachey and Michelle McDaid.
Our last visit to the Bluebell last September ended 5-0 to Glentoran through doubles from Kerry Beattie and Jess Foy and one from Emma McMaster.
Head Coach Kim Turner spoke to www.glentoran.com ahead of the game : “After the international break we are looking forward to getting back to league action this weekend. We have continued to train, although it’s been great to welcome the international players back to the squad this week. Friday will be an important game for us to re-group as a squad and get back to basics. We are looking forward to getting Into a routine of playing league matches over the next few weeks but all our focus will be on tomorrow night.”
